An express train carrying more than 300 passengers derailed on the way to Taiwan’s southeast coast Sunday.
The train left Taipei City and was part way through the trip when the accident happened, leaving 17-people dead and another 132-people are injured. The injured are being treated at four different hospitals in the area.
The officials are going through the wreckage at this point trying to learn what led to the derailment. The names of those killed in the accident have not been released.
