EL PASO COUNTY – A boil order for residents in the Midway Ranch area has been lifted by the state Tuesday afternoon.

The water has been back on for people in the Midway Ranch area, but residents were required to boil their water before consuming it.

Wigwam Mutual Water said began water testing Monday and then was retested again Tuesday to be given the all clear. The water is now safe to drink.

Before the water service was restored,  the Hanover Fire Department took their tender trucks to deliver water to livestock in the area.

Some families were just sticking to bottled water and others were even boiling the water for their animals to drink.
