A Veteran in Pueblo says he has one big goal left in life; to make sure forgotten soldiers are remembered forever in the Pueblo Home of Heroes.

There are already memorials built in Pueblo to honor service men and women, but Vietnam War Veteran, Butch Chavez says there needs to be more.

Chavez says he has found seven Pueblo soldiers who went missing in action during the Korean and Vietnam Wars, and he wants a memorial built for them.

"I am a Vietnam Vet, and it is just difficult for me not to say anything about them," said Chavez. "These soldiers are missing, and the families don’t know what happened to their soldiers, their sons, their brothers, their sisters."

Chavez says the cost to build the memorial would be about $50 thousand and he would like to see it on the Arkansas Riverwalk.
