John Deere tractor chase suspect to appear in Denver court

37-year-old Thomas Busch is making his first court appearance related to a slow speed chase through the streets of downtown Denver on a stolen John Deere tractor. 

According to the Denver Police Department, Busch, allegedly stole the tractor from City Park around 8:30 p.m. on July 20th. Numerous officers were involved in the chase that lasted about 30-minutes and came to an end in LoDo. In the end, two DPD officers were injured, dozens of cars were damaged, and the suspect sustained injuries after tangling with the K-9 dogs. 

The alleged tractor theft is the latest on a long list of dozens of others charges in Thomas Busch’s rap sheet. He has a history that dates back to 1999. In the past, he was arrested for burglary, domestic violence, robbery, assault; and several traffic offenses including vehicle theft, hit-and-run, driving with a suspended license, careless driving, and driving under the influence.
