Search and rescue operations suspended overnight at Lake Pueblo

Posted

A search and rescue operation for a man in his 30s has been suspended for the night at Lake Pueblo Saturday.

Colorado Parks and Wildlife of the southeast region tweeted about the incident just after 9 p.m.

CPW said a man in his 30s was last seen in the water near Cottonwood Cove on the south side, at the west end of the lake.

The Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office dive team was on scene searching in 30 feet of water for the missing man, CPW said.

The scene is accessed only by water. Dive team members will resume the search early Sunday morning in the Cottonwood Cove area.

The cove is closed due to boat traffic.
