Wednesday was National Hot Dog day, a chance for all Americans to appreciate one of America’s favorite foods.
For a Colorado Springs veteran who runs a hot dog cart in downtown Colorado Springs, hot dogs are more than a source of income for him.
Mike has run the cart since he retired five years ago. He said the cart "saved his sanity" and it’s allowed him to learn about the local flavor.
