Build-A-Bear Workshop is holding a ‘pay your age’ one-day event in all stores on Thursday, July 12.
The deal will apply to all stores in the U.S., Canada, and U.K. Guests who visit the store on Thursday will be able to pay their current age for any Make-Your-Own furry friend available.
According to the company, the event is part of the launch of Build-A-Bear "Count Your Candles" birthday experience. Anyone can take part in the event, age doesn’t matter, as long as they are in store on Thursday.
To participate, parents or guardians over the age of 18 can enroll in the Build-A-Bear Bonus Club rewards program or provide a valid email address and name, so that a guest can pay his or her age for a fluffy friend.
Guests will be allowed to purchase an unstuffed pal and bring it back another time if preferred, Build-A-Bear said. This offer is only available for Make-Your-Own furry friends, additional accessories are not included.
The person wishing to pay his or her age must be present at the time of purchase. The company also said this offer cannot be combined with other offers.
“We have overwhelming data that indicates Build-A-Bear is synonymous with childhood, and nearly one-third of our sales are associated with birthdays,” said Sharon Price John, president and chief executive officer, Build-A-Bear Workshop. “We ‘heart’ birthdays at Build-A-Bear, so we’re hosting the Pay Your Age Day to launch our year-round ‘Count Your Candles’ offer for Guests celebrating a birthday with us in stores—an experience we designed especially to commemorate birthdays in a memorable way.”
