There’s plenty to do in Monument on Independence Day

Come on out to Monument on Wednesday for the Tri-Lakes 4th of July Celebration as thousands line the streets every year for this family friendly event.

Be sure to bring plenty of water and sunscreen for a fantastic Colorado summer day! There’s plenty of vendors, arts and crafts, food you have to try, a 4 mile fun run, the children’s parade and main parade, breakfast, live music, a beer garden, and a car show.

4th of July Pancake Breakfast – 7:00 – 10:00 a.m. – St. Peter Catholic Church (55 Jefferson St.) – Just $4 for children 12 and under. 

Palmer Lake Fun Run – 7:00 – 9:00 a.m. – Run, skip, hop, gallop, lolly gag or moon walk on July 4th with your friends and family to support Palmer Lake Elementary School at the 36th Annual July 4th Fun Run. The gorgeous and fast 4-mile race begins at 7 a.m. on Wednesday, July 4 at the Palmer Lake Sante Fe Trailhead and ends in Monument in time for the parade.

4th of July Parade – 9:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. – Downtown Monument – Come out early to claim your spot. The Children’s Parade leads the procession at 9:30 a.m. and the main parade is immediately afterwards.

4th of July Street Fair – 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. – 2nd St. and Washington St. – Street fair with food, craft & business vendors! 

Live Music and Family-Friendly Beer Garden – 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. – As soon as the parade passes Limbach Park the live music will start, featuring Latigo, The Inman Brothers Band and Dream Feed.

4th of July Car Show and Kid Zone – 8:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. – Monument Community Presbyteriand Church (238 3rd Street)
