How to help first responders in Teller County

With hundreds of people on the lines of the Chateau Fire in Teller County there is a definite need for supplies to keep them going.

The Teller County Sheriff’s Office sent out the following list of items that can be delivered to their offices at 11400 US Highway 24 in Divide. From there it will be distributed to fire crews and law enforcement working the area.

Remember, if you plan to buy these items and donate, get the travel size to make it easier for carrying in the field.

  • Mouthwash
  • Foot powder
  • Socks
  • Baby powder
  • Emergen-C
  • Beef Jerky (combo packs with cheese preferred!)
  • Neosporin
  • 13 gallon trash bags
  • Mountain Dew
  • Energy drinks
  • Water
  • Gatorade/Powerade
  • High energy snacks – nuts, granola bars (individually wrapped preferred)
  • Chapstick
  • Eye drops
  • Baby wioes
  • Throat lozenges
  • Antacids
  • Sunscreen
  • Aspirin/Ibuprofen
  • Moleskin patches
  • Vaseline
  • Wraps for blisters
