Sunday morning, the City of Cripple Creek announced that the planned fireworks show for July Fourth will be canceled.
The city said the decision to cancel the fireworks was made due to the High Chateau Fire in Teller County.
The status of the remaining activities as well as alternate plans and dates will be announced as soon as possible.
