Amidst rising homeless population numbers a local shelter is closing their doors. After only a year open, staff at The WISH House tell us they just don’t have enough money to make ends meet.
They’ve given 38 women a new start, with food and shelter, backed by a team to help get them on track.
Unfortunately, this year they weren’t able to get federal funding and in order to stay open they need that.
Case managers are working with the 8 women still living at the house and the sad reality is these ladies could end up back on the streets.
ESM says they are hoping to re-open WISH House at some point. They estimate it will cost $240,000. For more information on WISH House and details on how to help click here.
