The City of Colorado Springs’ Parks, Recreation, and Cultural services Department is partnering with the Garden of the Gods Foundation to launch a free public shuttle in Garden of the Gods Park.

The optional shuttle will launch Memorial Day weekend 2018, running Saturday, Sunday, and Monday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The City said the trial shuttle service will operate daily from June 2nd to August 26th, and September 1st to 2nd.

The shuttle fleet will be comprised of two 14-passenger vans and will complete a three-stop loop at Rock Ledge Ranch Historic Site, Garden of the Gods Visitor and Nature Center, and the intersection of Gateway Road and Juniper Way loop. Those wishing to take the shuttle can park in a newly constructed parking lot near the intersection of 30th Street and Gateway Drive at Rock Ledge Ranch.

The shuttles will leave from the parking lot every 15 minutes and are accessible to those with disabilities.

Adventures Out West, who already offer Jeep, Segway, and trolley tours of the park, will operate the shuttles. The Parks Department, along with the Garden of the Gods Foundation will fund the shuttles.

The City said visitors will be asked to participate in a text-base survey to share feedback on the program. Comments can also be emailed to prcs@springsgov.com.
