E-recycling event coming to Fountain on June 2nd

Do you have unwanted electronics around the house you need to ditch the proper way?

Fountain Neighborhood Services is hosting an electronics recycling event on Saturday, June 2nd from 9 a.m. to noon at the Fountain Recycling Center.

It is illegal to just dump your electronics in the trash. So gather up your items and bring them in for this one day event.

List of items accepted at this event:

  • Televisions 32" and under – $10 fee
  • Televisions more than 32" – $20 fee
  • Stereos, desktops, laptops – $5 fee

*All items must be whole and intact, no broken screens accepted.


The event is taking place on the first Saturday of the month when the city accepts other recyclable materials.

For the regular recycling event please bring in:

  • Paper – sheet paper, shredded paper, magazines, books
  • Cardboard – moving and packing boxes
  • Metal – cans, curtain rods, shelving, appliances
  • Plastics – water, soda, and juice bottles; milk jugs (Recycling stamp #1 through #7)
