Officers save dog from very hot car in Lakewood

Posted

Lakewood Police responded to a report of a dog in a very hot car Saturday.

A citizen heard the dog barking and called police. Officers want to remind people that as the temperatures begin to rise outside that means the temperatures inside cars are even higher.

Police posted a photo to their Twitter of the temperature in the car at a whopping 134.6 degrees. So, if it’s 77 degrees outside, cars can get over 100 degrees inside very quickly, officers said.

Lakewood Police want to remind people to keep pets safe and be aware of temps this time of year.
