COLORADO SPRINGS — In this week's Around Town segment, why not take advantage of FREE day at the Fine Arts Center at Colorado College in Colorado Springs? Free admission day happens every 2nd Saturday and 3rd Friday of each month. You get to beat the heat and enjoy all the exhibits the Fine Arts Center has to offer. The museum is open to all ages and is family friendly. There is even a tactile gallery where you can touch the art pieces.

New to the museum this summer is the World of WearableArt from New Zealand, where artists have just one rule, their work must be worn by a person. The pieces range from wooden to metal, from soft and furry textures to hard and cold materials. There is a hands on activity for the kids to design their piece on paper dolls. The beautiful works of the World of WearableArt can only be enjoyed until September 22nd.

Around Town airs every Saturday morning at 7 am during News5 Today Weekend.
