Around Town this weekend, Old Colorado City has multiple events that you've got to check out.
Saturday September 21:
Aspens on the Avenue
10 am - 4 pm
West Colorado Avenue between 23rd and 27th Streets
Explore downtown Old Colorado City at this annual art fair. Talk with local artists, watch live art demonstrations, and enjoy the changing of seasons.
Sunday September 22:
Tast of OCC
1 - 4 pm, early admission at noon for VIP
Bancroft Park
Cost: $40 adults, $10 children, $55 VIP. Tickets available at the door or online.
Enjoy tastings from over 20 local restaurants, distilleries, wineries, and breweries.
Lauren Ripko, the event director of Taste of OCC, says "Old colorado city is kind of a hidden gem in Colorado Springs. We pull a lot of tourists in, but a lot of locals don't realize it's here. It's the first territorial capital in Colorado, so there is a lot of history here. The wild west used to run these streets. Thunder and Buttons is one of the original bars/brothels; they will be [at Taste of OCC].
