There's no arguing that the Coronavirus (COVID-19) has changed a massive portion of our daily lives.

In the midst of these changes, many local businesses are finding ways to overcome and adapt to keep their doors open, while at the same time, help those around them.

Similarly, businesses hit hard are reporting a tremendous outpouring of support from the community.

This outpouring reminding all of us that while this global epidemic has changed so much, it HASN'T changed people's desire for community.

This is We're Open Colorado, a segment dedicated to highlighting local businesses that are still open and finding unique ways to serve the community.

With all of this in mind, let's take a look at Aspen Auto Clinic, which is working hard to ensure everyone currently has access to reliable transportation and is helping to support medical personnel with free oil changes.

"It's not about building business," stated Greg Bunch, owner of Aspen Auto, "it's about taking care of the community that's taken care of us."

Since all of this started, business has slowed down everywhere, but, in spite of that, the company has decided to ramp up community support.

Currently they are working to provide, among other things:

  • Free oil changes to medical professionals and first responders
  • 25% off any service or repair for everyone in the community
  • sanitary and no contact services including pick up and drop off

They have also been calling their customer base, working to provide any other services and just check up on how people are doing.

"We are only one of many businesses in our community that are trying to pull together and figure out what can we do for the community," staed Elaina Bunch.

They hope to continue helping out until the crisis has passed.

We spoke with one medical professional who let us know that she felt blessed by seeing the community come together to provide support.

"It's really truly just an amazing blessing to have these communit(ies) or businesses step up and try to help in any way possible," she stated.
