Warm spring temperatures are here to stay with fire danger on the rise

Today’s Forecast:
A red flag warning is in effect from noon until 8 pm Sunday for Pueblo, eastern Huerfano, eastern Las Animas, Baca, Bent, Otero and Crowley counties, and the San Luis Valley.

COLORADO SPRINGS: High: 68; Low: 38. Sunny and dry today. No red flag warning thanks to the moisture from Friday's snow.

PUEBLO: High: 74; Low: 38. Winds pick up this afternoon and temperatures will be very warm. Red flag warning.

CANON CITY: High: 72; Low: 41. Sunny and dry today, but winds won't be strong enough for a red flag warning.

WOODLAND PARK: High: 60; Low: 22. Becoming very warm and comfortable today with an afternoon breeze.

TRI-LAKES: High: 60s; Low: 30s. Warm and sunny today to the low 60s.

PLAINS: High: 70s; Low: 30s/40s. Very warm and windy today. Red flag warnings in place.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High: 70s; Low: 40s. Very warm and windy today, reaching the low 70s. Wind gusts will range from 25-35 mph. Red flag warning.

Extended Outlook:
Monday and Tuesday will also be warm, breezy and dry, leading to potential red flag warnings. Enjoy the spring temperatures, but be cautious of causing and sparks outside. The next round of cooler air and precipitation will come Wednesday night through Thursday evening. This will likely be snow in the mountains and a mix of snow and rain for the Front Range and Plains.
