Warm on Father's Day; rain chances on the increase

Today’s Forecast:
A warm Father's Day is ahead with lots of sunshine and above average temperatures. Clouds develop in the afternoon, and a few showers are possible around the area, favoring the Pikes Peak region and front range.

COLORADO SPRINGS: High: 85; Low: 59. Warm today with sunshine to start. An isolated shower or thunderstorm is possible after 2 pm.

PUEBLO: High: 94; Low: 58. Quite hot today and likely to stay dry. Winds will be breezy.

CANON CITY: High: 90; Low: 58. Reaching the low 90s once again with partly cloudy sky conditions. An isolated shower possible in the afternoon.

WOODLAND PARK: High: 74; Low: 51. Nice and warm today with breezy winds. An afternoon shower or thunderstorm possible after 1 pm.

TRI-LAKES: High: 70s/80s; Low: 50s. Upper 70s and low 80s today with partly cloudy conditions. A stray shower or thunderstorm possible after 2 pm.

PLAINS: High: 90s; Low: 60s. Mid 90s today and breezy. Likely to stay dry, apart from a stray shower towards the west.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High: 80s; Low: 50s. Upper 80s today and breezy.

Extended Outlook:
Sunday night a weak cold front will move into the area, and another front will be felt on Monday night. This will cool temperatures slightly for the first half of next week. These fronts will also increase humidity, which in turn increases the potential for afternoon thunderstorms in the region for most of next week.
