Tracking the next cold front for Colorado arriving tonight

Today’s Forecast: A cold start will be followed with a beautiful afternoon. Mountain valleys and the high country will be in the 30s, 40s, and low 50s. The front range to the Plains will be in the 50s and 60s today. Sunshine reigns free, with light wind in the Plains, breezy conditions along the front range and in the mountains.

COLORADO SPRINGS: High: 56; Low: 26. Sunny and seasonable today. Winds will be slightly breezy.

PUEBLO: High: 57; Low: 24. It will be a sunny day after morning clouds clear. Winds will be light.

CANON CITY: High: 58; Low: 30. Mild today with plenty of sunshine. Winds will be breezy.

WOODLAND PARK: High: 50; Low: 24. A bit breezy today, with warmer temperatures. Enjoy the sunshine!

TRI-LAKES: High: 50s; Low: 20s. Low 50s are expected in the Tri-lakes, with sunshine. Tonight will drop to the mid 20s.

PLAINS: High: 50s/60s; Low: 20s/30s. Temperatures will reach the 50s and 60s today with sunshine and light winds.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High: 50s; Low: 20s/30s. Walsenburg and Trinidad will be in the 50s today with sunshine and gusty winds.

Extended Outlook: A dry cold front arrives tonight, leaving Monday partly cloudy and cooler. Warm temperatures return mid-week, back to the 50s and 60s Tuesday and Wednesday. The next cold front arrives Wednesday night and has better potential for precipitation. The southeast Plains and the southern I-25 corridor south of HWY 50 may see some rain or a wintry mix Wednesday night to Thursday morning. We will continue to monitor that potential.
