Thunderstorms are in the forecast to kick off Fourth of July weekend

Tonight's Forecast:
Showers and thunderstorms will impact the foothills and I-25 through 8-9 pm, then clear out of the plains by 10 pm tonight. Overnight will be partly cloudy and mild.

Colorado Springs forecast: Low: 56; High: 85; Warm with sunshine to start with thunderstorms in the afternoon.

Pueblo forecast: Low: 60; High: 92; Hot with sunshine on Saturday with spotty thunderstorms possible in the afternoon.

Canon City forecast: Low: 60; High: 89; Hot day with scattered afternoon thunderstorms likely.

Woodland Park forecast: Low: 48; High: 76; Showers and thunderstorms likely in the afternoon with comfortable temperatures.

Tri-Lakes forecast: Low: 52; High: 82; Warm and sunny to start with thunderstorms likely in the afternoon.

Plains forecast: Low: 60s; High: 80s/90s; Upper 80s to low 90s with spotty afternoon thunderstorms.

Walsenburg and Trinidad forecast: Low: 56/57; High: 82/83; A warm and sunny start to the day with spotty afternoon thunderstorms likely.

Mountains forecast: Low: 40s/50s; High: 70s; Low to upper 70s with rain and thunderstorms during the afternoon.

Extended outlook forecast:
Showers and thunderstorms will be scattered in the mountains once again Sunday, with fewer storms making it to I-25. Temperatures will be about the same as Saturday. Monday will be a few degrees warmer and drier overall, with spotty mountain showers and very isolated thunderstorms for the plains.
