Thunderstorm chances return for the end of the week

Tonight's Forecast:
Mild temperatures are expected overnight after a warm Wednesday. Clouds will move out tonight as well, leading to a sunny start to Thursday.

COLORADO SPRINGS: Low: 47; High: 70. The day starts sunny and warm. An afternoon to evening thunderstorm is possible.

PUEBLO: Low: 48; High: 77. Very sunny and warm start, with a chance of thunderstorms in the late afternoon.

CANON CITY: Low: 50; High: 76. Nice day with sunshine and warm temperatures. A few showers and isolated lightning is possible in the early afternoon.

WOODLAND PARK: Low: 39; High: 64. Beautiful and warm day. Showers will develop in the foothills in the early afternoon then move off the mountains in the evening.

TRI-LAKES: Low: 40s; High: 60s. Mid 60s tomorrow with a sunny start. Afternoon showers and thunderstorms possible.

PLAINS: Low: 50s; High: 80s. Warming to the low 80s tomorrow, with thunderstorms possible in the evening, favoring north of HWY 50.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: Low: 40s; High: 70s. Sunny, warm to the upper 70s and mostly dry tomorrow. Storm chances are lower than the rest of the region.

Extended Outlook:
Friday will be a bit cooler with more cloud cover. If enough heating and instability build, another round of thunderstorms look likely from the Front Range to Plains. Isolated storms may be strong enough to be severe warned Friday night, especially in the eastern Plains.
