Today’s Forecast: A beautiful late summer day is in store! Expect plenty of sunshine with a few clouds. Rain potential is very low for the I-25 corridor, but a few storms are possible today in two areas. Those areas being the far southeast corner, including Springfield and Lamar, and areas west of the continental divide. An isolated shower is possible as far east as Teller and Fremont counties today.

COLORADO SPRINGS: High - 85; Low - 56. Very warm weather is expected today, almost 10 degrees above average. The sky will be mostly sunny with an afternoon breeze. Rain potential is low.

PUEBLO: High - 92; Low - 58. Very warm and sunny today to the low 90s. The winds will be breezy in the afternoon, and Pueblo county is likely to stay dry today.

CANON CITY: High - 87; Low - 60. Warm and sunny for the first half of the day. Most rainfall will stay west of Fremont county, but a stray shower cannot be ruled out.

WOODLAND PARK: High - 75; Low - 48. Beautiful today to the mid 70s with mostly sunny conditions. An evening shower is possible.

TRI-LAKES: High - 80s; Low - 50s. Warm today with sunshine. The Tri-lakes will reach the low 80s. The afternoon should remain dry.

PLAINS: High - 80s/90s; Low - 50s/60s. Upper 80s to mid 90s are expected today, with the warmest spots along the Arkansas River. A few thunderstorms are possible for eastern Las Animas county, Baca county or Prowers county.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High - 80s; Low - 50s. Low 80s in Walsenburg and upper 80s for Trinidad today. The sky will be sunny and the southern I-25 corridor is likely to stay dry.

Extended Outlook: Wednesday will feel similar to this afternoon, with warm weather and sunshine. Then in the evening and overnight, a dry cold front pushes into Colorado from the north. This shifts the winds and brings gusty conditions Wednesday night into Thursday morning. The front takes temperatures back to normal, to the 70s and 80s on Thursday and Friday. But then the heat builds again for the weekend, back to the 80s and 90s.
