Sunday's weather forecast

Today’s Forecast: Another hot summer day is in store for southern Colorado. We will technically be slightly cooler than Saturday, but you won't feel that difference outside. Temperatures are still ranging 5 to 10 degrees above average. The sky will be clear with few clouds. Our area should be rain free today.

COLORADO SPRINGS: High - 90; Low - 59. Very warm today to a high of 90 after a cool start. The sky will remain clear and winds will be lighter today.

PUEBLO: High - 98; Low - 60. Hot, but staying out of the triple digits today. The sky will be clear and today will be dry.

CANON CITY: High - 94; Low - 58. Very warm today to the mid 90s, with plenty of sunshine. Winds will be lighter today, so there will not be another red flag warning issued.

WOODLAND PARK: High - 82; Low - 54. Today will be very warm in Woodland Park and Teller county. Low 80s are expected in town. A few afternoon clouds are possible, with little or no rain likely.

TRI-LAKES: High - 80s; Low - 50s. Monument, Palmer Lake, and Woodmoor will be warm in the upper 80s today with plenty of sunshine. A few clouds are possible in the afternoon with a stray dry shower.

PLAINS: High - 90s; Low - 60s. Hot today, but not as hot thanks to a weak front. The Plains will be in the low to upper 90s this afternoon with sunshine.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High - 90s; Low - 50s. Hot to the low 90s in Walsenburg and hotter in Trinidad to the mid 90s. The sky will be sunny with dry weather expected.

Extended Outlook: Temperatures will near record levels by Monday and Tuesday in the Springs and Pueblo. Stay hydrated and wear sunscreen! After that, relief comes with a mid week cold front on Wednesday, where we drop back to the 80s. Watch for rain as early as Tuesday evening and becoming more likely Wednesday and Thursday.
