Sunny skies and warmer temperatures to conclude this weekend

Tonight’s Forecast: Mild highs this afternoon will give way to another cold night across Southern Colorado. While it will likely drop below freezing in most areas, it should be warmer than the previous few nights. Sunshine and dry skies return for Sunday.

COLORADO SPRINGS: Low - 30; High - 70. Cold, sub-freezing temperatures early will warm to near 70 degrees for the afternoon under sunny skies.

PUEBLO: Low - 25; High - 73. Clear skies and cold temperatures for Pueblo Sunday morning. Highs will moderate quickly however under the influence of high pressure, topping out in the lower to middle 70s.

CANON CITY: Low - 34; High - 75. Chilly morning temperatures for Canon City, with sunshine and warm weather to end the weekend here.

WOODLAND PARK: Low - 25; High - 62. A nearly perfect day for the Teller County high country. Clear skies and mild temperatures will follow after a cold morning.

TRI-LAKES: Low - 20s; High - 60s. Sunday morning will start out clear and cold. We'll wrap up the weekend nice and mild, with southwest winds up to 10 mph during the afternoon.

PLAINS: Low - 20s/30s; High - 70s. With high pressure moving into Colorado on Sunday, daytime highs will return to the 70s across the Plains. Strong breezes are likely by the afternoon.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: Low - 30s; High - 60s/70s. Chilly morning temperatures will give way to a bright and beautiful afternoon. Quiet weather, with highs in the 60s and 70s.

Extended Outlook: A pretty quiet weather pattern for us in Southern Colorado heading into next week. Temperatures will continue to rise through Monday. Dry conditions will persist, with stronger wind and high fire danger likely by Monday as well. A cool down follows on Tuesday, which doesn't last long as temperatures will return to the 70s and 80s by the middle of next week.
