On Wednesday, Meteorologist Alex O'Brien visited Turman Elementary School in Colorado Springs. During her visit, she spoke to the kindergartners in Mrs. Hernandez's class and the SSN students in Ms. Archuleta's class about severe weather safety.
The students were great listeners and had smart ideas about how to be safe during dangerous weather. The students learned the phrase "when thunder roars, go indoors." And they learned the weather dance!
