Spring temperature swings heading into next week

Today’s Forecast:
Clouds in the morning will gradually clear out, leading to a warm afternoon in southern Colorado. High fire danger will be seen in the San Luis Valley and southern I-25 corridor once again.

COLORADO SPRINGS: High: 77; Low: 47. Morning clouds and afternoon sun. Mostly dry today, with a stray shower possible in the afternoon.

PUEBLO: High: 84; Low: 50. Very warm today with partly cloudy conditions. Staying dry this afternoon.

CANON CITY: High: 78; Low: 51. Partly cloudy and warm today, with dry weather.

WOODLAND PARK: High: 69; Low: 40. Warm today after morning cloudy clear out.

TRI-LAKES: High: 60s; Low: 40s. Upper 60s with sunshine in the afternoon. An isolated evening thunderstorm is possible.

PLAINS: High: 80s; Low: 50s. Warm today with afternoon sunshine, staying dry.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High: 80s; Low: 40s. Red Flag warning with low humidity and gusty winds this afternoon.

Extended Outlook:
Monday morning a weak, dry cold front moves in and brings high temperatures down 5-10 degrees. A stronger cold front comes in Monday night, which will bring widespread light rain to southern Colorado through Tuesday morning. Tuesday will be cooler, to the 60s.
