Spring-like weather ahead for Southern Colorado

Tonight's Forecast: Dry and quiet tonight, with overnight lows dropping down to the 10s and 20s over a good portion of Southern Colorado. It will be windy in the mountains, with gusts early this evening to 40 mph.

COLORADO SPRINGS: Low: 21; High: 53. It'll be a gorgeous Tuesday all throughout Southern Colorado, including right here in the Springs. Highs will warm into the 50s under sunny skies.

PUEBLO: Low: 22; High: 59. Chilly morning temperatures will warm into the upper 50s by the afternoon. Light southeast breezes to 10 mph.

CANON CITY: Low: 24; High: 57. Sunshine will be in high supply on Tuesday, with highs above average for this time of the year.

WOODLAND PARK: Low: 14; High: 45. Layer up in the morning, but prepare to lose those outer layers by the afternoon as we'll see sunshine and highs in the middle 40s.

TRI-LAKES: Low: 20s; High: 50s. It will be pretty chilly in the morning, but sunshine and mild weather will follow for the afternoon. Light westerly breezes to 10 mph.

PLAINS: Low: 20s; High: 50s/60s. Tuesday's weather will truly be a preview of spring for the Plains. Sunny skies and light southerly winds will push many areas into the 60s.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: Low: 20s; High: 50s. Sunshine and light breezes on Tuesday, with highs warming well into the 50s.

Extended Outlook: Get ready for a nice string of spring-like days in the forecast. The warm-up will continue through Wednesday before a brief cool down on Thursday. Highs then rebound, with highs Friday through Sunday between 10 and 15 degrees above average. Saturday looks to be the warmest, with 70s for Pueblo, Canon City and the Plains.
