Snow in the southeast Plains Friday, blustery and cold elsewhere

Today’s Forecast:
Blustery today with cold temperatures and steady wind from the north. Snow is possible area wide, but the only significant impacts will be to the southeast Plains. A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY has been posted for eastern Las Animas, Baca, and Prowers counties from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m.

COLORADO SPRINGS: High: 33; Low: 10. Blustery today with wind chill values in the teens and 20s. A dusting of snow is possible through late morning.

PUEBLO: High: 36; Low: 8. Cold and breezy today, so bundle up. A dusting of snow possible in the morning.

CANON CITY: High: 36; Low: 15. Cold and generally dry today, with a low chance of morning snow.

WOODLAND PARK: High: 25; Low: 5. Flurries possible today, totaling less than an inch. Cold and windy all day.

TRI-LAKES: High: 30s; Low: single digits. Chilly today with strong north winds. Snow will total less than an inch.

PLAINS: High: 30s; Low: teens. Cold and snowy from late morning to early evening. eastern Las Animas, Baca, and Prowers county are under a winter weather advisory. Totals from 1-3 inches.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High: 30s; Low: teens. Chance of snow through late morning, with totals up to 2 inches possible. Cold overall today.

Extended Outlook:
The weekend ahead will be sunny and cool, with low 40s in the Plains and 30s in the mountain valleys. Sunday will be especially breezy.
