Snow expected for the next 24 hours in southern Colorado

Today’s Forecast:
Light isolated snow showers are possible this morning, becoming widespread in the front range and plains this afternoon, becoming heaviest this evening and tonight, then clearing on Sunday morning.

WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY: From 2 pm today until 5 am Sunday morning, Pueblo, Huerfano, Las Animas, and Baca county including the southern Sangre De Cristos and Wet Mountains will see periods of heavy snow. Be cautious on the roads during this time frame or avoid travel.

COLORADO SPRINGS: High: 30; Low: 16. Snow possible from 8 am, becoming more widespread in the afternoon and ending Sunday morning.

PUEBLO: High: 35; Low: 19. Winter weather advisory in effect. Snow begins late morning, becomes heaviest this evening and overnight, ending Sunday morning.

CANON CITY: High: 32; Low: 22. Light snow showers today and continuing tonight, ending early Sunday morning.

WOODLAND PARK: High: 26; Low: 10. Snow showers off and on today and ending by sunrise Sunday.

TRI-LAKES: High: 20s; Low: teens. Light snow possible in the morning, increasing through the day and ending Sunday morning by sunrise.

PLAINS: High: 30s; Low: teens. Winter weather advisory in effect for Las Animas and Baca counties. North of the advisory, light snow will fall today, totaling an inch or less.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High: 30s; Low: teens. Winter weather advisory in effect. Snow will create hazardous travel this afternoon and tonight.

MOUNTAINS: High: 20s/30s; Low: single digits. Winter weather advisory in effect for the southern Sangre De Cristos and Wet Mountains. Snow becomes widespread east of the continental divide today and tonight. The further west you are, the drier conditions will be today.

Extended Outlook:
Snow ends Sunday morning, and the sky will stay at least partly cloudy through the afternoon. Temperatures stay in the 20s and 30s tomorrow. The weather will become warm and sunny next week, peaking in the 40s and 50s mid-week.
