Saturday fire danger in the plains; thunderstorms in the mountains

Tonight's Forecast:
This evening any spotty rain showers will remain weak and dissipate by 9-10 pm. Overnight will be very warm and a record heat day Thursday afternoon.

Saturday will be quite active with very different conditions per region, with fire danger and wind in the plains and wind plus thunderstorms in the mountains.

HIGH WIND WARNING: This will be in effect from noon until 9 pm Saturday for winds sustained 35-45 mph, gusting up to 70 mph. See below if your area is effected.

RED FLAG WARNING: 11 am to 8 pm for very low humidity and very strong winds, plus dry lightning potential. See below if your area is effected.

COLORADO SPRINGS: Low: 59; High: 88. A red flag warning and high wind warning are in effect Saturday. An afternoon dry thunderstorm is possible.

PUEBLO: Low: 64; High: 96. A red flag warning and high wind warning are in effect Saturday. An afternoon dry thunderstorm is possible.

CANON CITY: Low: 63; High: 92. A red flag warning is in effect Saturday. An evening thunderstorm is possible.

WOODLAND PARK: Low: 53; High: 79. A red flag warning is in effect Saturday. Thunderstorms are possible in the afternoon to evening.

TRI-LAKES: Low: 50s; High: 80s. A red flag warning and high wind warning are in effect Saturday. An afternoon thunderstorm is possible.

PLAINS: Low: 70s; High: 90s/100s. A red flag warning and high wind warning are in effect Saturday. Mountain storms will dissipate as they move into the Plains.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: Low: 60s; High: 80s. A red flag warning and high wind warning are in effect Saturday.Text

Sunday brings more red flag warnings to the plains and temperature take another incline. Winds will be weaker, but still gusting to 45 mph.
