Today’s Forecast:
Widespread showers and thunderstorms likely in the foothills, I-25 corridor and plains this afternoon. Storms will be slow moving and may produce flash flooding in some locations. They will likely move east of I-25 by the time firework displays start.

COLORADO SPRINGS: High: 85; Low: 56. Warm to start then cooling with thunderstorms this afternoon. Expect pockets of heavy rain and small hail possible from 2-7 pm.

PUEBLO: High: 93; Low: 59. A hot start with afternoon thunderstorms likely, possible from 4-8 pm.

CANON CITY: High: 89; Low: 57. Very warm early on with heavy rain and lightning possible from 1-5 pm.

WOODLAND PARK: High: 75; Low: 50. Mild day ahead with rain showers likely from 1-5 pm.

TRI-LAKES: High: 70s; Low: 50s. Mid to upper 70s today with thunderstorms possible from 2-6 pm.

PLAINS: High: 90s; Low: 60s. Hot day with thunderstorms holding off to the west until the evening, where they are possible from 7-11 pm.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High: 80s; Low: 50s. Mid 80s today with thunderstorms likely from 1-9 pm.

Extended Outlook:
Sunday will be a few degrees warmer than today with scattered afternoon thunderstorms. A few spotty thunderstorms linger into Monday, and then conditions dry out and heat up through next week. Mid week temperatures will be in the 90s and 100s in the lower elevations, and 80s in the mountains.
