Multiple days of rain expected in Colorado

Today’s Forecast:
Rain is the weather headline today, and will be for the extended outlooks. A monsoon set-up will continue to bring plenty of moisture to the state, leading to high rain totals. Today the storms favor the mountains, where it will rain off and on all day. The plains will see scattered showers and thunderstorms this afternoon and evening.

COLORADO SPRINGS: High: 85; Low: 59. Warm with clouds today. Rain showers possible after 2 pm through the evening.

PUEBLO: High: 92; Low: 62. A hot start with rain showers possible after 2 pm and continuing through the evening.

CANON CITY: High: 87; Low: 66. Cooler today thanks to clouds and rain. Showers are possible off and on through the day and into the night.

WOODLAND PARK: High: 76; Low: 50. Cloudy today with rain showers likely through the afternoon and evening.

TRI-LAKES: High: 80s; Low: 50s. Low 80s today, feeling comfortable. Rain showers and thunderstorms are possible after 1 pm.

PLAINS: High: 90s; Low: 60s. Mid to upper 90s today and staying dry through the first half of the day. Scattered thunderstorms possible after 5pm.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High: 80s; Low: 60s. Mid to upper 80s today with clouds. Rain showers and thunderstorms possible after 1 pm through the evening.

Extended Outlook:
Some light rain showers will linger into Sunday morning. Sunday afternoon will be another rainy and cloudy day, with widespread showers from the mountains to the plains. Heavy rain is possible Sunday with flash flooding a concern, especially for burn scars.
