Multi-day heat wave on the way to Colorado

Tonight’s Forecast:
Any remaining showers in southern Colorado will diminish this evening, shortly after sunset. Winds will die down and the sky will clear out overnight. Temperatures will be mild overnight to the 50s and 60s. Tomorrow we continue to warm with a chance of isolated afternoon thunderstorms.

COLORADO SPRINGS: Low - 59; High - 92. Tuesday we will wake up mild and quickly warm to the low 90s. The sky will stay mostly clear and rain potential has been wrung out for the most part. An isolated afternoon shower is still possible tomorrow.

PUEBLO: Low - 63; High - 100. Say hello to the triple digits and stay acquainted, as they stick around for the rest of the week. The sky will be mostly sunny to partly cloudy Tuesday. Stay hydrated! An isolated thunderstorm is possible in the afternoon.

CANON CITY: Low - 63; High - 97. Mild tonight, to the low 60s. We warm up quick again on Tuesday afternoon to the upper 90s. We will have less moisture available tomorrow, but an afternoon shower is still possible.

WOODLAND PARK: Low - 52; High - 83. Nice and mild tonight, dropping to the 50s. A few afternoon clouds and a shower is possible tomorrow afternoon. Temperatures will be very warm, to the low 80s.

TRI-LAKES: Low - 50s; High - 80s. A very warm day is head tomorrow, staying just shy of the 90s. Expect a mostly sunny day, with a few clouds and maybe a shower developing off Monument hill.

PLAINS: Low - 60s; High - 90s/100s. HOT tomorrow with most reaching the upper 90s and some 100s. A few clouds in the afternoon will provide some shade, and watch for an isolated thunderstorms moving off the mountains.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: Low - 60s; High - 80s/90s. Mild tonight, dropping to the low 60s and maybe upper 50s. Tomorrow will be hot, nearly 90 for Walsenburg and mid 90s for Trinidad. A few clouds are likely in the afternoon with mountain showers, and isolated thunderstorms may make it's way across I-25 into eastern Las Animas county.

Extended Outlook: Heat is the story this week, with limited rain chances after tomorrow. Be cautious of working outdoors or strenuous activities outside. Drink more water than you think you need! Heat and dry air will peak by Thursday and Friday. Some relief is expected later this weekend.
