More record heat and smoke in southern Colorado Sunday

Today’s Forecast:
Hot and hazy again today. Wildfire smoke will linger through the rest of the day through all of southern Colorado. Temperatures will be HOT with records possible again.

COLORADO SPRINGS: High: 95; Low: 62. Today will likely tie or break the record high, which stands at 95. Limit time outdoors with the smoke outside.

PUEBLO: High: 102; Low: 65. Scorching hot again today, and likely to break the standing record high of 101. Smoky and hazy all day.

CANON CITY: High: 99; Low: 66. Near the triple digits today with smoky conditions.

WOODLAND PARK: High: 86; Low: 55. Hot today with a stray shower possible this afternoon, but overall dry and smoky.

TRI-LAKES: High: 90s; Low: 50s. Low 90s today with wildfire smoke lingering all afternoon.

PLAINS: High: 90s/100s; Low: 60s. Upper 90s today with triple digits along the Arkansas river. Hazy skies all day.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High: 90s; Low: 60s. Mid to upper 90s today with wildfire smoke lingering all day.

Extended Outlook:
Monday will be just as hot and possibly breaking more records. Temperatures finally cool a bit by Friday and into next weekend. Thunderstorm potential will increase after Wednesday.
