Mild Christmas weather expected in Colorado, with snow on the western slope

Today’s Forecast:
A calm day is ahead for our area, with high clouds remaining through the early afternoon. Temperatures will be slightly cooler, but remaining about 10 degrees above average. Heads up for drivers heading to Grand Junction or towards Durango, snow will be increasing in the mountains today, west of the continental divide.

COLORADO SPRINGS: High: 53; Low: 28. Light, variable winds with comfortable temperatures.

PUEBLO: High: 54; Low: 27. High clouds and mild high temperatures after a cool start.

CANON CITY: High: 56; Low: 32. Nice day with peaks of sunshine and mild temperatures.

WOODLAND PARK: High: 43; Low: 25. Cool today with high clouds. A few flurries are possible tonight with no accumulation.

TRI-LAKES: High: 50s; Low: 20s. Low 50s with high clouds today and light wind.

PLAINS: High: 50s/60s; Low: 20s/30S. Upper 50s and low 60s in store this afternoon with partly cloudy conditions.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High: 50s; Low: 20s. Mid 50s expected for highs today with high clouds still in place.

Extended Outlook:
Christmas Day will be sunnier with temperatures cooling a few more degrees. Through the rest of the week, temperatures will cool a bit more each day. Thursday will be dry in the 30s and 40s. Friday into Saturday becomes colder, in the 30s, with the next chance of snow. There is a low chance of snow showers area-wide, with the best chance being south of Pueblo county. Stay tuned.
