Today’s Forecast: Another hot summer day is in store for southern Colorado, to 10 degrees above average. The sky will be clear with few clouds. Isolated showers are possible, mostly staying in the high elevations.

COLORADO SPRINGS: High - 91; Low - 61. Very warm today with a lot of sunshine. Low 90s are expected for the Colorado Springs metro area. Afternoon clouds are possible with low rain chances.

PUEBLO: High - 97; Low - 62. Very warm today, with minimal cloud cover. Temperatures will reach the upper 90s. Winds will be light in general.

CANON CITY: High - 96; Low - 66. Another warm one for Canon City, to the mid 90s. There will be plenty of sunshine today, with rain chances lower.

WOODLAND PARK: High - 83; Low - 54. Very warm today, to the 80s in Woodland Park. An isolated afternoon shower is possible, with low impacts.

TRI-LAKES: High - 90s; Low - 50s. Even the Tri-Lakes will be in the 90s today, but just barely. Sunshine and heat is the story. The afternoon may bring some clouds and a low chance of rain.

PLAINS: High - 90s/100s; Low - 60s. HOT and dry today, to the triple digits in La Junta and mid to upper 90s for the rest of the Plains. Tonight we are not likely to see more low clouds develop, like we have the past several days.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High - 90s; Low - 60s. Walsenburg will be in the low 90s and Trinidad will be in the upper 90s today. The southern I-25 corridor has a better chance of seeing a shower today, but that rain potential is still low.

Extended Outlook: Temperatures will near record levels by Labor Day in the Springs and Pueblo. Stay hydrated and wear sunscreen! A windy front moves into Colorado Tuesday morning, taking highs back about 10 degrees. Rain will be isolated for Tuesday, but that potential increases through the week. Isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms are in the forecast from Wednesday to next weekend. The better chances will be on Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday.
