July 4th will be a scorcher in Colorado before cooling down for firework shows

Tonight’s Forecast:
The evening and overnight hours will be fairly calm with a few clouds. Temperatures tomorrow morning will be to the 40s in the mountains, 50s and 60s along the front range, and 60s in the Plains. A few stray showers are possible in southern Colorado this evening with minimal impacts.

COLORADO SPRINGS: Low – 57; High – 92. Tonight will be mostly clear and mild, to the upper 50s by Thursday morning. Tomorrow will be hot and dry with plenty of sun! Expect highs to reach the low 90s. Make sure to wear sunscreen while spending time outside for the holiday. Drink plenty of water to stay hydrated in the heat. The evening will be cooler, to the upper 60s by dusk.

PUEBLO: Low – 59; High – 100. Tonight will be mostly clear and calm, dropping to the upper 50s. Independence Day will be a scorcher, to 100°. Be sun safe by wearing light clothing and sunscreen. Drink extra water if you are going to be spending time outside tomorrow. The evening will be mild, to the 70s, with little cloud cover for watching the fireworks display.

CANON CITY: Low – 60; High – 97. Mild and mostly clear to start on Thursday. Tomorrow will be very warm, to the upper 90s. The sky will be mostly clear. If being outside is in your holiday plans, pack plenty of water and sunscreen! Thankfully in the evening, temperatures will drop to the 70s once the sun goes down.

WOODLAND PARK: Low – 49; High – 82. Beautiful and very warm weather is in store for the 4th of July. Tomorrow will start cool in the upper 40s, and warm to the low 80s in the afternoon. Stay hydrated outside tomorrow during festivities! The sky will be mostly and likely to stay rain free.

TRI-LAKES: Low – 50s; High – 80s. Nice, warm weather is in store for Indepence Day. The morning will be mild in the 50s, then warm up quickly under a mostly clear sky. Highs will reach the mid 80s tomorrow. Wear plenty of sunscreen and stay hydrated! By dusk, temperatures will drop to the 60s in no time.

PLAINS: Low – 60s; High – 90s/100s. A HOT one is in store for the Plains tomorrow, with upper 90s and 100s likely. The sky will be rain free with plenty of sunshine. Pack plenty of water for your 4th of July festivities. Some relief will come by sunset, where temperatures will drop to the 70s in the evening.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: Low – 55/59; High – 88/94. Both Walsenburg and Trinidad will be very warm tomorrow, to 88 and 94, respectively. The sky will be mostly sunny with slightly breezy winds. Keep yourself protected from the heat with plenty of water and apply sunscreen. By duski, temperatures will drop to the 70s and then 60s for firework shows.

EXTENDED OUTLOOK:
A few isolated showers return to the mountains on Friday but the next best chance for rain seems to be on Saturday. Storms could be on the stronger side Saturday afternoon, so plan accordingly if you have outdoor plans. Monsoon moisture is going to fuel thunderstorms from Sunday through Tuesday, especially in and next to the mountain regions.
