Hot and toasty today with sunshine through the early afternoon. Showers and thunderstorms will develop in the mountains and move into the Plains this evening, with heavy rain and small hail being the highest threats.

COLORADO SPRINGS: High: 85; Low: 56. Hot and sunny to start with clouds and afternoon thunderstorms. Storms will have heavy rain and may have small hail.

PUEBLO: High: 94; Low: 60. Very hot again today with sun. Afternoon thunderstorms are possible, but will be scattered.

CANON CITY: High: 91; Low: 60. Hot with sun to start. Clouds increase in the afternoon with a chance of thunderstorms.

WOODLAND PARK: High: 76; Low: 50. Very warm today with sunshine. Afternoon thunderstorms with heavy rain is likely.

TRI-LAKES: High: 70s; Low: 50s. Upper 70s and low 80s today with a sunny start. Afternoon thunderstorms are likely, with small hail and heavy rain.

PLAINS: High: 90s; Low: 60s. Toasty in the mid 90s today. Evening thunderstorms are possible, but likely favoring areas north of HWY 50.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High: 80s; Low: 50s. Upper 80s today with sunshine. Isolated afternoon thunderstorms possible.

Sunday looks to be just as hot as today, but with drier air. Thunderstorms are still possible in the afternoon but will be more isolated.
