Hot summer temperatures carry us into the weekend

Tonight’s Forecast: The eastern Plains are likely to see isolated thunderstorms through tonight, ending by midnight. Watch for hail and strong winds possible, with an isolated severe storm. The front range and mountains will dry out this evening.

COLORADO SPRINGS: Low - 56; High - 90. A clear and warm start to the day, reaching the mid 80s in the early afternoon, then eventually to a high of 90°. A few clouds are possible in the afternoon, with low rain potential.

PUEBLO: Low - 58; High - 98. Expect a hot afternoon Thursday with plenty of sunshine. Highs will be in the upper 90s. The sky will be partly cloudy later with a lower rain chance.

CANON CITY: Low - 59; High - 96. Tomorrow will be a warm one with plenty of sunshine. A stray shower cannot be ruled out in the afternoon. The high will be 96°.

WOODLAND PARK: Low - 49; High - 82. Thursday will be very warm in the mountain valleys, to the low 80s in Woodland Park. The sky will be mostly sunny with a stray shower possible.

TRI-LAKES: Low - 50s; High - 80s. Expect to drop to the mid 50s tonight, then warm to the mid to upper 80s tomorrow afternoon. Generally it will be a dry day, with a few clouds.

PLAINS: Low - 60s; High - 90s. The Plains will see a break from severe weather potential tomorrow, but the hot weather makes a come back. Most areas will stay under the triple digits, but not by much. Rain potential is lower.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: Low - 50s; High - 80s/90s. Walsenburg will warm to the upper 80s tomorrow and Trinidad will get into the mid 90s. An isolated thunderstorm is possible in the afternoon.

Extended Outlook: Friday looks warm again, with a slightly better chance of seeing thunderstorms in the afternoon. The weekend ahead looks very hot and dry, so find a way to beat the heat!
