Heat increases and storms become more isolated to end this week

Tonight's Forecast:
Scattered thunderstorms continue through the plains this evening until about 10 pm. Some storms have had a history of strong winds and hail, so be weather aware. Tonight the clouds will clear out and temperatures will stay warm overnight.

COLORADO SPRINGS: Low: 55; High: 89. Clearing out tonight and staying very mild. HOT tomorrow just shy of 90, with thunderstorms possible after 1 pm.

PUEBLO: Low: 56; High: 97. Mild tonight and HOT on Thursday. The sky will be sunny. An isolated afternoon thunderstorm is possible.

CANON CITY: Low: 58; High: 94. Quite warm overnight, and Thursday temperatures will rise quickly. An early afternoon thunderstorm is possible.

WOODLAND PARK: Low: 48; High: 80. Very warm on Thursday! Thunderstorms possible after noon.

TRI-LAKES: Low: 50s; High: 80s. Low 50s tonight and low to mid 80s tomorrow. Thunderstorms possible after 1 pm.

PLAINS: Low: 50s/60s; High: 90s. Watch for thunderstorms tonight until 10 or 11 pm. Tomorrow will be HOT in the upper 90s and maybe a few 100s. Isolated evening thunderstorms are possible, but will be limited in coverage.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: Low: 50s; High: 80s. Staying warm overnight to the upper 50s, with Thursday afternoon warming to the upper 80s, near 90. Isolated thunderstorms are possible in the early afternoon.

Extended Outlook:
Friday will be hot again with dry air. A few thunderstorms are still possible in the afternoon, but they will be very isolated. Friday may be the first 90 degree day in Colorado Springs this year, and the first 100 degree day in Pueblo this year. The weekend ahead will be hot still, with the better chance of thunderstorms on Saturday.
