The first batch of frost and freeze alerts have been issued for Pueblo, El Paso, Crowley, and Kiowa counties from midnight until 8 am Monday. Bring sensitive plants indoors and keep pets inside during these hours.
COLORADO SPRINGS: High - 60; Low - 31. Today will be chilly in the Springs, but with sunshine. Tonight a freeze warning is in effect for northern El Paso county, including Monument hill, Black Forest, and along HWY 24 to Calhan, where temperatures will drop to the upper 20s. Colorado Springs, Fort Carson, and Falcon are under a frost advisory, where temperatures will drop to the low 30s.
PUEBLO: High - 68; Low - 30. Today will be crisp, with gusty conditions through mid afternoon. Tonight a frost advisory is in effect for Pueblo county, as temperatures drop to the low 30s.
CANON CITY: High - 65; Low - 37. Feeling like fall today, rising to the mid 60s under a sunny sky. Winds will be slightly breezy. Tonight temperatures drop to the mid to upper 30s.
WOODLAND PARK: High - 56; Low - 30. Cold today, staying in the mid 50s. The sun will be out and winds will be light in general. Tonight expect to be cold, dropping to the low 30s again.
TRI-LAKES: High - 50s; Low - 20s. Today will be cool, to the upper 50s with a gusty morning. The afternoon will be sunny with winds decreasing. A freeze warning is in effect tonight, where lows will drop to the upper 20s.
PLAINS: High - 60s; Low - 30s. Staying sunny and a bit breezy today, but temperatures will be cooler. The Plains will be in the mid to upper 60s. Tonight, Crowley and Kiowa counties may drop below freezing to the low 30s, where a frost advisory is in effect.
WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High - 60s; Low - 30s. Both cities will be in the low 60s today with winds staying gusty through mid-day. Tonight, temperatures drop to the mid 30s.
Extended Outlook: Despite the cold start, Monday afternoon will be warmer. Temperatures Monday will be back to the 70s. Tuesday and Wednesday will be quite pleasant, with 70s and 80s likely. Then our big cool down is still likely by Thursday and Friday. The front arrives Thursday morning and a wintry mix of precipitation falls in the afternoon. Accumulations of snow will be light.
