Today’s Forecast: It is shaping up to be a beautiful Saturday afternoon, with crisp fall temperatures. Staying cool in the morning and evening hours, you'll want a coat or sweater in your wardrobe. High fire danger continues in the central mountains, including areas near the Decker Fire. News 5 will have continuing coverage of this wildfire with a crew on scene all weekend.

COLORADO SPRINGS: High - 65; Low - 37. Chilly start with temperatures reaching the 60 by about noon. The sky will be sunny, reaching a high of 65 around 4 pm. Winds will be light or slightly breezy.

PUEBLO: High - 72; Low - 35. A beautiful day is in store. The sky will be sunny, reaching a high of 72 around 4 pm. Winds will be light or slightly breezy.

CANON CITY: High - 71; Low - 41. Sunshine is expected all day, with low 70s in the afternoon. Expect breezy winds, gusting 20-25 mph.

WOODLAND PARK: High - 60; Low - 30. Crisp and breezy today, with sunshine. Winds may gust up to 30 mph. Expect a freeze tonight.

TRI-LAKES: High - 60s; Low - 30s. The tri-lakes will be cool today, in the low 60s with sunshine. Winds will generally stay light. Expect a possible frost Sunday morning.

PLAINS: High - 60s/70s; Low - 30s/40s. Pleasant today, with sunshine and upper 60s to low 70s. The Arkansas river valley will be the warmer spots.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High - 60s/70s; Low - 30s. Upper 60s to low 70s expected for Walsenburg and Trinidad with plenty of sunshine. The winds stay light.

Extended Outlook: Overnight, a cold front arrives and leaves Sunday several degrees cooler. Still trending dry through the weekend. A frost is likely for the I-25 corridor and some spots in the Plains by Monday morning. Mid-week is trending warm and breezy. A major cool down is in the forecast, with a potent cold front arriving Wednesday night. This brings a potential for multiple freezes Thursday and Friday mornings, and perhaps a wintry light mix of precipitation Thursday.
