Cold front arrives Wednesday night, snow flurries possible Thursday morning

Tonight’s Forecast: Staying clear and cold tonight, with most of the region dropping to the 20s. Wednesday starts clear and dry before a cold front impacts areas east of the mountains mid-day to early evening.

COLORADO SPRINGS: Low: 29; High: 57. A quick warm up tomorrow before cooler air arrives. The cold front arrives early afternoon Wednesday, bringing gusty northerly winds. Flurries possible overnight.

PUEBLO: Low: 27; High: 63. Temperatures warm nicely awaiting the cold front, which should arrive mid afternoon. Winds increase and clouds increase. Flurries possible overnight into early Thurs AM.

CANON CITY: Low: 30; High: 63. A nice day overall, with impacts from the cold front late Wednesday. Some flurries possible through Thurs AM.

WOODLAND PARK: Low: 25; High: 53. A nice start with the cold front arriving early afternoon. The mountains are trending mostly dry with this system, with perhaps a few flurries.

TRI-LAKES: Low: 20s; High: 50s. Mid 20s tonight, with low 50s tomorrow. The cold front arrives late morning Wednesday with breezy northerly winds. Snow flurries possible overnight.

PLAINS: Low: 20s; High: 60s. The northern Plains will see the cold front first Wednesday afternoon, moving through Limon late morning, La Junta and Lamar mid day, and reaching Springfield in the evening. Snow flurries and low clouds Thurs AM.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: Low: 20s; High: 50s/60s. A nice day Wednesday, with the cold front arriving early evening Wednesday. Thurs AM flurries or freezing drizzle.

Extended Outlook: The incoming system should have minimal impacts, besides slippery roads in isolated spots. Temperatures get a nice boost come Friday and into the weekend, making it a perfect few days to spend outside.
