Cloudy but warm Saturday in store for Colorado, with passing rain showers this evening

Today’s Forecast:
Cloudy skies across southern Colorado today, but with warm air underneath. A cold front will arrive this afternoon, with light rain showers in the Plains and front range and flurries for the mountains possible tonight.

COLORADO SPRINGS: High: 63; Low: 28. Overcast but warm outside with light down sloping winds and temperatures back into the mid 60s. Passing rain showers possible after 4 pm.

PUEBLO: High: 67; Low: 30. Mostly cloudy skies, light winds, and very warm afternoon temperatures for this time of year. Passing rain showers possible after 6 pm.

CANON CITY: High: 68; Low: 33. Mostly cloudy skies, warm daytime temperatures, and light winds. The upper Arkansas river should stay dry from this front

WOODLAND PARK: High: 57; Low: 23. Overcast and mild for this time of year with dry skies and light winds. Passing mix of rain and snow possible after 3 pm.

TRI-LAKES: High: 50s; Low: 20s. Overcast but mild outside with light winds and daytime temps in the upper 50s. Passing mix of rain and snow possible after 3 pm.

PLAINS: High: 60s/70s; Low: 30s. Increasing clouds through the day and highs warming into the mid 60s to low 70s. Passing light to moderate rain showers possible after 4 pm.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High: 60s; Low: 30s. Mostly cloudy today with highs warming quickly into the mid 60s. Passing light to moderate rain showers, perhaps a wintry mix possible after 8 pm.

Extended Outlook: Conditions start to clear up by Sunday, with more sunshine but with temperatures about 10 degrees cooler. Temperatures increase again into Monday and Tuesday, back to the 60s and 70s for the front range. Our next system arrives mid-week, with a chance of rain in the Plains and snow in the mountains. This system is favoring the southwest corner of the statea including the San Juan mountains.
