TRI-LAKES: High: 20s; Low: single digits. Cold in the upper 20s with sunshine and gusty winds.
PLAINS: High: 30s; Low: teens. Warming to the 30s for many, but wind gusts may be over 30 mph through the late afternoon.
WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High: 20s; Low: single digits. Staying cold in the upper 20s today with the snow cover.
Extended Outlook:
The cold air will be stubborn, staying in the 20s in the mountains Monday and 30s or 40s in the Plains. New Years Eve day will be back to seasonable with more 40s likely and dry weather, but dropping to the teens and twenties by midnight. The weather pattern overall remain cool and sunny through the end of the week. The only disturbance we are watching is a weak cold front Wednesday night into Thursday morning which may bring a few snow flurries to the region.
