Hot weather to wrap up the weekend in Colorado

Today’s Forecast:
Hot today with spotty rain showers favoring the mountains. Any showers that make it to the plains will provide minimal moisture and clouds for the afternoon.

COLORADO SPRINGS: High: 93; Low: 57. HOT today with sunshine to start and an isolated shower possible in the afternoon.

PUEBLO: High: 98; Low: 61. Very hot today and likely to stay dry. Clouds increase through the day.

CANON CITY: High: 96; Low: 62. Hot today with clouds moving in shortly after the morning, and an isolated shower possible.

WOODLAND PARK: High: 80; Low: 51. Very warm today with sun to start and clouds and spotty showers in the afternoon.

TRI-LAKES: High: 80s; Low: 50s. Mid to upper 80s today! Lots of morning sun with afternoon clouds and an isolated shower chance.

PLAINS: High: 100s; Low: 60s. Most of the plains will reach 100 today with little relief from the heat besides some afternoon clouds.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High: 90s; Low: 60s. Low 90s today with breezy winds and a few afternoon clouds.

Extended Outlook:
Monday will be HOT and dry with breezy winds. Fire weather watches are in place for the San Luis Valley, Sangre de Cristos and Wet mountains, and the southern I-25 corridor. That is where winds will be strongest, but the entire region is hot and dry tomorrow. Tuesday brings some relief from the heat with a weak cold front.
