Today’s Forecast: Today will be a scorcher in southern Colorado with high clouds and dry weather. Temperatures will be in the 80s, 90s, and 100s for our area. The low humidity and breezy winds will lead to higher fire danger in the mountains, where red flag warnings are in place for Fremont county.

COLORADO SPRINGS: High - 94; Low - 58. The forecast is 94 and the record high stands at 94 today! Expect sunshine and heat all afternoon. This evening will feel nice after dinner in the 80s, which will be a better time to go to the park or exercise outdoors. A breezy cold front arrives overnight.

PUEBLO: High - 100; Low - 62. HOT today to 100 degrees, while the record stands at 98. If you are heading to the fair, wear light clothing and apply sunscreen. Drink plenty of water!

CANON CITY: High - 99; Low - 65. Very hot in Canon City today and also quite breezy. This leads to high fire danger, and all of Fremont county is under a Red Flag Warning today. Do not do any outdoor burning! Dispose of cigarettes properly.

WOODLAND PARK: High - 83; Low - 53. Very warm in our mountain valleys today, to 83 in Woodland Park. The sky will be mostly sunny with cirrus clouds and the winds will be breezy. While not under a Red Flag, fire danger will still be high.

TRI-LAKES: High - 80s; Low - 50s. The Tri-lakes will sit on the fence between 89 and 90 degrees today. Just know that it'll be a hot one, with a breeze and a few high clouds. Stay hydrated!

PLAINS: High - 90s/100s; Low - 60s. Hot today! The Arkansas river basin will see the triple digits, with upper 90s expected elsewhere. The sky will be clear and it'll be a scorcher. Overnight will be breezy with a cold front arriving from the northeast.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High - 90s; Low - 50s. Hot today for Walsenburg and Trinidad, to the mid 90s and upper 90s, respectively. Few clouds and a bit of a breeze. Stay hydrated.

Extended Outlook: Some relief comes in the weather with several cold front during the work week. These will keep temperatures closer to average. The first front arrives tonight, the second by Tuesday evening, and a third by Friday. These will bring limited rain chances, with just isolated mentions on Tuesday and Thursday. Better moisture appears to arrive Friday and Saturday.
