Summary: We are the beneficiaries of a warm up all across the country, as the Polar Vortex retreats into northeastern Canada until later next week. In addition, an incoming storm’s wind direction, enhances the warm up on the front side of the storm. Because of the direction of movement of the storm, the western slopes of the Colorado Rockies will take the full brunt, with heavy snow coming Sunday. But, it won’t be pleasant on the slopes…because of wind driven snow! So, get an early start back home, if that’s in your plans.

Meanwhile, Sunday could be considered a “Weather Alert Day”, simply because of the heavy wind coming, which is one of our criteria, so be aware and hold that steering wheel with two hands! It will be a warm, down-sloping wind, but it will be strong. Lesser breezes for Monday through Wednesday ahead.
