Western Michigan thumps past Colorado College in second meeting of the year

OMAHA, Neb. — Western Michigan's Ethen Frank scored twice and the Broncos collected a pair of power-play goals as the Broncos defeated Colorado College, 5-2, Friday night at Baxter Arena in the NCHC bubble.

The Tigers defenseman Bryan Yoon did score his first goal of the year in the second period for Colorado College, while freshman Jack Millar added another in garbage time in the third period.

Matt Vernon also finished the game with 24 saves for the Tigers.

CC returns to action on Sunday, Dec. 13, against the two-time defending national champions Minnesota Duluth at 12 p.m. (CT).
